I am a supporter of socially responsible visual communication, where effectiveness and accountability are not understood separately. With this I want to exceed the level of instant images, which are unfortunately so typical of today’s communication practices. I am working from the idea that experience from different designer fields are a good base for creative work.
Study
After finishing high school for design and photography (fashion) I enrolled in the Faculty of Education (art education) in Ljubljana (graduated 2005). I continued studies with the master’s program at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, where I have a Master’s degree in the direction of visual communications (finished 2009).
Cartoons
In my Master’s thesis I focused on visual communication in connection with eroticism, further connecting it with research from the psychology of marketing communication. As the practical part of my thesis I made a short classic cartoon movie (the basic element of which is a paper drawing) that actively questions the media constructed reality, for instance the representation of beauty and beauty itself. A cartoon titled “Debi in ogledalo” / “Deby and the Mirror” was shown at the International Festival Animateka (2009) under the Eastern and Central European panorama. Within Animateka I also participated in the project “Animirana Katalena” / ”Animated Katalena” (audio-visual concert), where my cartoon, made in collage technique with the help of computer editing and Adobe Flash, illustrated the poem “Rad imel bi jabuko” / ”Jabuko”. In addition to these two bigger projects I also created a number of smaller computer animations that were created as banners, animated movies and short telephone screen displays.
Illustrations
My greatest passion. And the most numerous.
My range of illustrating is very wide:
illustrations of a technical nature,
original illustrations as artwork.
I’ve also learned to adapt the content and form to different target audiences. I’ve made both illustrations for our youngest and illustrations with a more adult note. Around 2000 illustrations with erotic content were created during the 7 year cooperation with Mobitel’s portal Planet 9 d.o.o., where my work still illustrate erotic stories written by Brane Kastelic. Many images were also created in the form storyboards for advertising agencies:
Luna TBWA,
Publicis,
Reaktor,
Mayer McCann
and individual small customers.
I’ve also worked/am working with magazines such as:
Cicido (Childrens book),
Happy,
Kralji ulice…
Design
I also see a great creative challenge in various design project and in all types of visual communication. Thus I’ve created the corporate identities (Apty, Aurora Dental d.o.o) and logos (Made in Slovenija, Pornozvezda.si, Ekoluks).
I’ve also tried myself in writing (Apty project: apart from designing the catalog, including photographs
of the products, the whole written content is also my work).
Costume and set design

Given the fact that I finished fashion school, where I worked on my dressmaking skills, I’ve also
engaged in some costume and design projects.
